Absolute condominiums were built by Fernbrook homes. Absolute condo community is made up of five condominiums 50 Absolute, 60 Absolute (known as Marilyn Monroe condos), 70 Absolute, 80 Absolute and 90 Absolute World Condos.
Marilyn Monroe condos have put Mississauga on a global map becoming a landmark for the city and defining Mississauga’s skyline. They have attracted both tourists and investors from all over the world and were sold out within 2 weeks of opening!
Officially called Absolute Towers, the building and its shorter and slightly less buxom twin, were the result of an international design competition in 2005 won by the MAD Architectural Design Studio of Beijing beating 92 other submissions. The condos have become known as the Marilyn Monroe condos, resembling the hourglass figure of Marilyn Monroe.
That’s a view shared by Hazel McCallion, the city’s long-serving octogenarian mayor, who says the project represents Mississauga’s arrival as a “global city.” “This is not the end; it is just the beginning,” she told reporters last fall.

The buildings are top-notch. As a long-time resident, I've had to wait for a maximum of 5-7 minutes for an elevator to show up during peak use periods
The buildings are top-notch. As a long-time resident, I've had to wait for a maximum of 5-7 minutes for an elevator to show up during peak use periods. The residents are friendly and helpful. Some of the young male security guards, however, are rude/crude and I hope that their surly/suggestive attitude improves or that they get replaced. The Mississauga News, with the weekly flyers, used to be delivered to my old condominium, but not here; as a student, having the flyers in hand was very convenient. Also, keeping the lounge open longer would help facilitate my research.
All-in-all, Absolute World is a nice place to live. Some people at concierge and in management could and should treat residents better, but those individuals don't reflect the entirety of the diverse population present here.

The place looks older then it is. It comes with all the goodies that most other condos come with. Fire alarms, noisy neighbors, weird/disgusting odors, heat issues, water issues, elevator issues, cheap materials and mediocre quality workmanship.
I currently live in 50 Absolute. I'm not sure why I see so many negative reviews. Yes, there has been issues in the building with water and elevator.

But you have to understand, any NEW building - WILL have these issues...however, the management was quick to jump in and fix them. They are unique condos...prices will definitely go up.
The only downside I see is the parking...but I visited other new buildings in Toronto - and saw the same problem. So cant really complain.

I would never recommend anyone to live in this place. I live in 50 Absolute and it has been an absolute nightmare for myself, and every other patron who lives here. Not only are the elevators the worst elevators I have ever been in (I've waited upwards of 20-30 minutes for it) we have had repeated power outages, heating issues, AC issues and the garbage chutes on the floors rarely work. The last straw for me was having our hot water be out for 5 days. NO HOT WATER FOR 5 DAYS! Not only that, management turned their phones off, did not respond to anyone and also locked their management door. I finally tracked down one person from management, and she said "what do you want me to do about it? We are working on it" after rolling her eyes. You've been warned! DO NOT INVEST IN THIS PLACE. I will be moving out HAPPILY as soon as my lease is done.

1)Elevators wait times are always longer for buildings which are 50+ floors, but 15+ minutes for an elevator? Come on, when? Are we even living in the same condo…
2)I recall 2 firearms in the past year
3)I rarely see any fire trucks or cops.
4)Not sure what floor are you living on but the 20th floor has no such smells in hallways
5)You got a point here. Gatehouse security at times can be rude and unprofessional. I think it’s just a matter of time before they get replaced by a different company.

Like I said, the only “negative” is that they gate house security can be at times slow. But this only applies to visitors, as residences have a FOB, and get in the second line and by-pass using the second gate. I think this Marilyn Monroe is a solid condo.

The Marilyn Monroe buildings will always be the iconic buildings of Mississauga. They are located at Mississauga’s busiest location, hence at times we do get traffic congestion when trying to park your car or the wait for the elevators can be at times longer. However, I have friends who own condos in downtown Toronto, and they all share similar experiences. It’s just the price you pay to live in a tall building. If you want a quiet living environment, I would suggest looking at townhouses not condos.
I own a unit on the 37th floor overlooking Square One and I wouldn’t trade it for any other condo.
