City Gate Condos Location & Features
These condos become popular for a number of reasons. Firstly, the City Gate condominiums were the first buildings to offer lofts in Mississauga. This was over exciting for many buyers, as up to this point the idea of a two story condo was unheard of in Mississauga. Next, the location is right in the heart of downtown Mississauga. Square One, bus terminal, city hall, library, coffee shops are all within walking distance.
Finally, the north facing balconies are great for those who like to have a view of Square One shopping center and Celebration Square. During days like Victoria Day and Canada Day, the north suites of City Gate condos offer some of the best views of the fireworks.
There is a water fountain, grand fireplace and a lounge located right in the lobby. A 24 hour concierge as well as shuttle service to the GO Station makes these condos very appealing.
You will see that each unit has been well designed for comfort, with style and elegance. The units have very efficient layouts whether it’s a one bedroom or larger unit. There is a choice between suites or lofts. The suites all contain 9ft ceilings, whereas the lofts contain 18ft ceilings. Typically you will find that the units are open concept with combined living and dining rooms, bay windows and floor to ceiling windows that let in light and offer great views of the city. The two bedroom units have a master bedroom with a private ensuite bathroom.
All condos are furnished with hardwood, porcelain, ceramic tiles, granite countertops, modern appliances and custom kitchen cabinets. The bathrooms contain marble vanity tops and a bathtub and shower.
Suite sizes range from 642 sq. ft. to 1755 sq. ft

I lived in CG1 for two years and wasn't really happy with this one.
First of all, this condo does have good location and some apartments at level 20& up have nice view. Building is not so old, nice lobby.
But now about bad things:
The swimming pool is for two buildings and it is really tiny.
Conditioner system doesn't work properly at winter - be ready for a very dusty air.
Every week routine with fire alarm - it was really nice, especially in the middle of the night, when it was alarming for 30-40 minutes.
Not enough space for guest parking.
But the worst thing about this condo is irresponsible management, they don't care about yours complaining for smoke coming from neighbors to your window and noise. Security is always not available when there are some issues. And secure system is really irrational.

City Gate is a nice Condo. I liked the loft that I have viewed on the 5th floor. It was very spacious for a one bedroom. It's definitely big enough for two people. The master bedroom looks down onto the living room, it has a nice balcony and large windows and a fireplace. The swimming pool area is nice and clean. The lobby has a modern touch to it and security is very helpful and kind. Square One Mall is right in front of your doorstep.
